A:AnswerThis same thing happened to me and I just had Geek Squad come out and they said I am not covered for external damage to the panel.
I didn't hit the screen over time we had some pixels out and then lines appeared o then we saw the screen appeared to have cracks, I don't know if its from an internal heat issue or not. I have just called customer support at Best Buy and they will review this claim.
Its a shame that we buy extended coverage that we all think covers cracked screens but it does not. I am sure BB would try and get out of insurance claim if you had a power surge too claiming that you didn't have it plugged into a GFI surge protector outlet.
Its very strange because this very same thing happened to our last TV we purchased from BB and they did replace/ exchange the tv 3 years ago. It seems they are not doing this anymore for non external damaged cracked panels.
A:AnswerI don't have issues with any scratches, but, I know they go out of their way to make sure whatever problems you do have they really do whatever they can to help
A:AnswerNo, smartphone insurance is offered by the service provider only upon initial plan setup.
UNLESS your service provider allows you to buy and add insurance after the fact.
A:AnswerI believe that it will. That's the same thing that happened to mine. I was told the power supply burnt out. Not fixable. But because I was beyond my plan years, I had to buy a brand new TV. They do have a lot of exceptions as to what will be covered. How it broke, who broke it, manufacturing defect, act of God, electrical surge, etc.
I guess you will have to read fine print or ask a representative. Sorry, couldn't be of more help.
