“To get a Geek Squad protection plan does the product have to be bought through Best Buy or can I buy a product through say Amazon?”

• Do yourself a favor and don't bother, GeekSquad warranty protection sucks. They will try to wiggle out of warranty support with BS claims any way they can. I have a 4 month old TV that they, and Sony, will not honor.
