I believe that it will. That's the same thing that happened to mine. I was told the power supply burnt out. Not fixable. But because I was beyond my plan years, I had to buy a brand new TV. They do have a lot of exceptions as to what will be covered. How it broke, who broke it, manufacturing defect, act of God, electrical surge, etc. I guess you will have to read fine print or ask a representative. Sorry, couldn't be of more help.
