“If a 2 year geek squad protection plan is used 7 months after purchase and the item has been replaced, does a brand new protection plan have to be purchased on the item that was replaced? Or is the protection plan prorated?”

I was told a new protection plan must be purchased for the new item, when I had mine refunded. I did because it was well worth it for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. You should use the manufacturer's warranty and then you can preserve your plan. Geek Squad will not tell you this so when they replace it they can terminate your plan. They are deceptive about it.
