I've found this to happen when I'm using low end HDMI cables. It could also be too long of a cable. This has just been my experiences.

Then try unplugging the HDMI cable from the back of the BluRay and plug it into the DirecTV receiver. See if the trouble follows the cable. You could find that you have a bad cable, the switch has a bad input, or it's incompatible with your BluRay player (or, less likely, your combination of BluRay player and TV)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You may need to replace the A/V cable from the DVD player to the switch or try cleaning up the metal ends of the current A/V cable you are using. If the switch works well with the one device then the feed cable from the switch to the TV itself is good and the cable from the switch to the working device is good also.
