You can get a universal remote to work with this. Use code: 0547. I figured out this code mostly. Just took half an hour on auto-code. I have the GE 6-Device Backlit Universal Remote Control #47506. The power will work. HDMI 1 = #5 HDMI 2 = #7 HDMI 3 = #Unknown HDMI 4 = #9 If you figure out a better code, or how to get to HDMI #3, let me know. This appears to be a code for the following CD players: Sears Realistic Teac Marrantz Sherwood
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To fully reset any HDMI switchboxes, including this one, I've found you have to not only remove the power adapter cord, but also all of its HDMI cables -- all at the same time. This is because HDMI cables provide a slight amount of power themselves. Once every single thing is disconnected, push the HDMI switchbox button to expend any residual power inside, then plug everything back in. While close up, point the remote control directly at the front of the unit and try changing output ports with the remote buttons. If it still doesn't work and port lights not change after this, then try making sure you can still change port lights by pushing the button on the HDMI switchbox instead of the remote control. If the switchbox can change ports without the remote control then you know the remote has a problem. If the switchbox cannot change ports even with pushing its button then you know the box itself has a problem. In either case if it doesn't work after a full reset at least you'll know which device has the problem (box or remote), but then I'd say it's time to bring the unit to Geeksquad at BestBuy.
