“Why does TV picture and sound cycle on and off when connecting Direct TV through the switch to the TV? Just connected a TV to Direct TV DVR through the rocket fish switch. The TV cycles from black screen no sound to showing picture and sound. Is the switch buffering the signal? The Wii sets up okay but has no sound. Installed a Sony media player and it cycles on and off between picture and black screen. What is fix?”

Sell this and buy a receiver. This switch has screwed up HDMI SIGNALLING. The control signal does seem to work

I was having a signal problem and purchased a rocket fish HDMI 3' cable and the problem went away. make sure it is all the way in as this also can cause problems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Double check your TV connections, if it's connecting to a receiver, than the ARC (audio response connector) connection will give you trouble. Than you will need to connect it to a separate HDMI connector. If you don't have a receiver, than you should be able to connect without issues. I recommend trying to connect it to a different HDMI port on the TV and see if that works. I had to do that with my system and it works fine after that.
