“Why does my 4 port HDMI switch quit working after a thunderstorm this is my second one and I'm getting ready to take it back!! It's plugged into a surge protector and nothing else goes out but the HDMI connector??”

It does it because it is a bad Product. Stay away from it. No one likes the product. I wish I had a better answer but I don't. Have an awesome day.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I suspect it has to do with the fact that there are probably 3-4 devices plugged in to this one device, so even though it is plugged into a surge protector, it has some sort of fail safe that makes it turn off?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Check to make sure that your Tv did not switch to a different setting such as going from 1080p to something else --ours did that and the rocket fish no longer would work until we discovered the wrong setting and. Hanged it back
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.1st of all a surge arrester does not stop lightning. it caps high spikes . You should use a battery backup where the power output is maintained and helps to stop lightning.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine quits working all the time. Sometimes the only way to make it come back is to disconnect the power cord and then plug it back in. I really hate that thing, but it's our only option.
