“I understand that I need to connect an amp/receiver to the Bose series 10 V system but my question still is whether or not the speakers are truly wireless. I especially do not want to have to run connecting wires to the rear speakers.”

Hello, Goobey. Thank you for your question. The Acoustimass 10 Series V is engineered as a fully wired home theater system. The 5 surround speakers will connect to the Acoustimass bass module, and the bass module will connect to a receiver. For your interests, we would recommend the new Bose Soundbar 700, along with the Bass Module 700 and wireless Surround Speakers. This package offers incredible 5.1 audio, with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. This system does not require a receiver. The speakers and bass module connect wirelessly to the soundbar.
