I have always used Yamaha receivers and they have been excellent and usually have all the latest surround sound decoding plus ample power per channel. Depending on what exactly you are planning to do and what features you are looking for Yamaha has an answer for you. If you are planning to do some significant upgrading and goto an 11.2 Dolby Atmos setup I would recommend the Denon AVRX6400H. I personally went to this one because the unit does not require any additional amplifiers to power all 11 channels.
