• You can open Microsoft word documents using Google Docs to do basic editing. If you're a power user of Word and Excel, you'll be disappointed with a lack of program features that you're accustomed to if you were using Microsoft word. It is what it is since Google Docs is free.

• Yes, these features are a little different, but I haven't had a problem downloading, opening or minuplatung documents.

• While Chromebooks do not support Windows, Windows documents can be opened using Google Chrome Drive.

• You should be able to open it on Macbook. I myself switched from a PC laptop and all my documents and spreadsheets opened up. But you will have to buy MS Office separately. Keynote and other Apple products will open up your documents but you will not be able to edit them.
