Well, it's not going to be as portable as an iPod for sure. And you'll probably want to hook it to an external speaker or headphones. If you're using it for streaming music, it will operate just fine as-is. If you want to play a large library of music files, I'd suggest getting a thumb drive as the 64 gigs of on-board eMMC storage is pretty limited as far as the amount of music you can store on it. You would also need to find software that would be able to play the music and read from either the on-board eMMC or a thumb drive. VLC is probably your best bet and can be found on the Google App store.
