I thought this model came with a pen null

Chuck, mine did not. I'm not sure if this is a special configuration for Best Buy models. This model is priced lower than the ones on the Acer site. Maybe leaving out the pen lowered the overalll cost. Some quick research on the Acer site showed that a compatible pen is available, at $45. I haven't tried buying one yet.

Hi Chuck - last year's model had a stylus included, but this is a new model that does not include one. Note that the new model (Spin 713) is still stylus compatible, but the new model is only compatible with pens that are USI compatible - the pen from the old model will not work with the Spin 713. USI pens have been taking a while to come to the market, Acer do not yet sell a USI compatible pen - currently there are HP, Asus and Lenovo USI pens either released or about to be released for sale shortly.

No, this Chromebook does not include a stylus.
