The supported card formats and tested up to 256GB: Micro SD Micro SDHC Micro SDXC
Sorry, there was a problem. This often happens because larger capacity cards were not available when the system design was finalised. My HP Chromebook also said micro SD cards up to 256GB but I have a 400GB in there and it works perfectly. So it's highly likely this Acer will also work with larger cards (at least up to the SDXC limit of 2TB, although there are none that large available yet). The card I'm using is a SanDisk Ultra A1 400GB (they have 512GB and 1TB available now).
