There are two m.2 2280 slots and one 2.5" sata. The 2nd m.2 can also use an m.2 2280 sata. Total of 3 drives. The 2.5" sata does not need to be an SSD, but a 15mm 2.5"HDD (3+ tb) will not fit. I don't know if a 9mm will fit, most SSD's are 7mm.
