A:AnswerDepends on what you are doing. Upping ram 8 to 16 will help performance. But a faster and larger SSD would probably make you happier in the long run. Some Window 10 settings adjustments will help too. You may want to look into changing the 'paging file' settings in windows - doing so can help the RAM you have to be used more effectively and efficiently. (google will show you the path and performance settings adjustment for the 'paging file'). Generally a bigger SSD won't do much for performance but it will help as your approach max capacity. Opinions vary, but SSDs can start to slow down when they are 80-90% full. But there is and exception: Samsung's EVO Plus 500GB in the NVMe M.2 format. You can replace your current drive or add a second. Personally, I'd clone the one you have onto the Samsung and make the Samsung the primary drive and use your original drive as a Drive D for additional storage. (750 GB total). Both SSDs are quick but the Samsung NVMe EVO PLUS is the quickest read and write SSD on the market at a reasonable price that can actually speed up your computer experience. If it were me and I could only do one option, I'd take the faster Samsung EVO Plus at 500GB, adjust the paging file and never look back! These upgrades are easy to do. Just keep in mind, it may indeed void your warranty.

A:AnswerYes!
I've been using discord streaming which is similar to twitch's and it runs decently smooth viewing wise and there's barely any lag when I'm playing.
A:AnswerI just bought this laptop (model AN515-55-53AG) because the description stated max of 32GB and it already has 8GB of 2933MHz installed. Great. I also checked the RAM via Task Manager and it says it has 8GB of 2933MHz RAM installed. Great. Now I want to pull that 8GB out and install two 16GB 2933GHz RAM sticks inside (32GB max) but hold up... Before we do that, lets check how much RAM this laptop can use. You can check this by opening up cmd and typing in "wmic memphysical get MaxCapacity, MemoryDevices"... what?! only 8388608KB of max RAM can be used for this device? (8388608 / 1048576 = 8GB).
So what's the deal here?
The BestBuy description says max of 32GB RAM and its coming with 8GB of 2933MHz RAM. But the Acer folks on here says it can only support 2600/3200MHz RAM. And both BestBuy and Acer are saying this model (AN515-55-53AG) has a max of 32GB of RAM. But the computer itself just showed me that the max it can use is 8GB...
So is this a BIOS issue? Or an Acer limitation? I know the 10th Gen i5 can handle at least 64GB of RAM as I also bought another laptop with the same processor (by ASUS) and it's showing me it can handle 64GB of RAM (with only 8GB RAM currently installed). I'd like to know more about this before I return this laptop back to BestBuy.
A:AnswerI did a bunch of research to find a gaming machine at a reasonable price for using Adobe creative cloud. Factory stock, the 515-55-53ag meets the minimum requirements of Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Audition and Dimension. First tweaks: baseline your laptop immediately after set up with cpubenchmark and cpuid (provide speed numbers etc) You will be disappointed. Keep tweaking - go to Nvidea website and get the latest 'studio' driver for the 1650 card. Studio drivers provides greater stability on long renderings in Adobe products. If your projects contain many layers and high bit depth, also grab at least another 8 or 16gb memory sticks or a pair of 16gb (32gb) kit from crucial. 16 is fine for one program but if you are using premier pro or after effects you'll appreciate the 32gb. Change your page file in window (Google it). Get a second 500 GB SSD NVME m.2 storage card. For the money $100 this is the fast read write card with excellent adobe performance. If you can change your primary card over to the same card. You should also have a SATA 2.5" form factor bay that can be used as a finished file disk (largest capacity Acer says is 500gb for each. You can also add external drives as long term archive back ups - 2 or 3 TB for about a $100. If you do a lot of adobe work you may want to dedicate the second m.2 to Adobe scratch, media, project disk space. Adobe generate tons files that are way easier to clean up if they are isolated on one drive. Last thing, get a bigger monitor, the laptop monitors does not have full color spectrum capability. Use your laptop screen as a command screen and a nice 27 incher as your editing screen. Hope that helps. One important point - your CPU actually does more work in the creative and render processes. The i5 - 10300h is an incredibly good bargain for speed vs. dollar.
