“I purchased this exact monitor and want to test being able to use a freesync monitor with G-sync enabled in the Nvidia control panel now that they released those drivers but I cant en/disable freesync or adjust it. It doesnt show up in any menu settings.”

Acer has qualified this monitor for Freesync. Nvidia has qualified several monitors to add support for Gsync, but the XF251Q is not one of them. Here is a list of monitors that Nvidia qualified: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/g-sync-monitors/specs/
