The answer is "no" ... If I am understanding your question. You want to send a TV signal to your cable-set box. These MoCA adapters use the coax, but not to send TV signal. One unit plugs in to your modem and then delivers a networking signal through coax to the second adapter (think computer on the end of the second adapter). In any case, you would need to have coax near both ends.

This device would allow you to connect to the coax connection in the other room and then to an Ethernet device, such as Apple TV or blue ray DVR player or something that doesn’t have coax.

The technology uses a frequency band not used by normal cable TV service to send Ethernet signals over the same coax as cable TV. This extends wired Ethernet to anywhere there is a coax connection without requiring Category 5 / 6 UTP cable. In my case, I don’t have cable Service at all. I use smart TVs connected to the Internet. My Internet service comes into the house on fiber and is converted to copper Ethernet. I use the product to connect an Ethernet port on my router (downstairs) to a switch (upstairs) by attaching the adapters to the coax connectors in each room. This creates a layer 2 TCP / IP network on Ethernet. I have two PCs, a print server, a smart TV, and an X-Box connected to the switch upstairs. DHCP is provided by the router downstairs. My devices perform much better than on WiFi because of their distance from the router.
