yes, download your video from your camera to a folder on your computer. In Premiere, in Add Media, go find that folder, select that file and add it. Then from Add Media just click and drag it into the Video 1 slot on the timeline. To edit, set the beginning and ending markers and click the scissors emblem and select that section (it should turn a lighter color). Right click and it gives you several options. If you goof, go to Undo under Edit and it will go back one step at a time for several steps backwards.
