• Some assembly required but it is easy. Took 7 minutes to put it together.

• The chair does require assembly. The main chair component's are in pieces. The butt of the chair? The back rest, the gas shock, the wheel caster assembly, and arm rests are all detached from each other. It took me approxiamtely 20 to 30min to assemble the chair completely without power tools. If i would have used my drill it probably would have cut the time in half. Its a great chair.
