No. I've been using this device for months, and haven't signed up for anything. You have to submit your first EKG back to AliveCor for evaluation; once that's complete (within 24 hrs) you can take as many readings as you wish. You can email them to yourself and/or your doctor, or store them on Google Drive or on your device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it will ask you to create an account with Kardia which is free and with that you will get your 1st EKG ready by a professional for free after that each EKG will be instant and free however if you have a fast heart rate it will tell you its unclassified and you can send it on from there to a professional to read for $9.99.. for me I pay for Pro membership which i don't think is necessary

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, but I show my doctor when I go in to see him. I've had a quad bypass and was worried about what I was feeling. No problems found. My friend had problems and it confirmed he needed help. I'm not sure I need to keep the off site readings for me, but everyone will be different with their needs.
