(this will only work long term if you also keep the Jacket H20 plugged into a power source. If not the battery will die eventually) I have my echo plugged into a powered Jensen speaker and can play music much louder than the echo dot speaker will play.

I paired my altec Lansing H2O 4 to my Android phone and when I'm listening to music through my phone, if I get a call, the music stops and I hear the other person over my speaker. I can then answer them as long as I am fairly close to the speaker. But it does work as a speakerphone.
you should realise however that when you are attached to your phone in order to listen to music, you are now forced to talk through the speaker and not through your phone.
