Yes, definitely. I just Bluetooth my UE Wonderboom to the Dot in my kitchen and the sound is so much better than the more expensive mini Bluetooth speaker I had in there before. The sound is louder and clearer...just what I wanted. You won't be disappointed.

Technically yes. You could pair it with your Echo. That said, I wouldn't think it is the best choice for that as it is a pretty small speaker. The sound is probably better than the Echo dot, but not as good as the full-sized Echo. If you just want something small and portable so you can hear your echo from the next room, this might work well.
