I was unable to transfer a .mov file from an iPhone to an SD card and then have it play on the device. When I called Aluratek's tech support they said I would have to convert the .mov file to an .mp4 file first. However, if you transfer the .mov file via USB cable from computer to the device, the device automatically does conversion and the video will play on the device. The device then would go from displaying photos to playing the video. Don't know about thumb drive, as the space is so tight on the area where you insert a thumb drive, that I could not fit mine in. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Thanks for the note. Video plays in a separate portal via the Video Tab on the main menu. Photos play in the slideshow. So those cannot be mixed. As for using USB thumb drives or SD cards this frame will play the photos right from the card. If you put video on a memory stick then use a separate drive to keep photos and videos separated. This frame will also let you copy your video or photos into the internal memory. For more tips contact [email protected].
