In TX mode (Transmit mode) this should work super well. Whether one person can listen through headphones or hearing aids and the other using the TV speakers depends on the TV and not the Bluetooth transmitter. The TV has to offer the ability to turn on speakers while also sending an audio OUT signal to the BT Transmitter. Not all TVs do this. Often it is one or the other.
