• I think it depends on your tv being able to play sound from both outputs i.e. optical cable and RCA or other external output from TV.

• Technically, you may be able to do this. However, we would not suggest it. There are a couple issues that could occur. 1) the sound may not be synced between all speakers 2) your TV may not output sound to both the optical and analog output.
