“I successfully connected this from my TV to my skullcandy wireless earbuds. However when I power the headphones off and on again, the transmitter stays in standby mode and headphones don't connect. Any suggestions? I've re-paired several times.”

You have the ABCD54F, a terrific unit for transmitting and receiving audio. Be sure the device is in TX mode. The issue with the SkullCandy headphones may be due to how they handle A2DP profile. You may need to turn the headphones on first, then power on the ABCD54F. At this point I would reset the ABCD54F. Hold the + button on the front panel down for 7 to 10 seconds to reset and clear the pairing memory (while the unit is ON). When the TX light begins blinking faster (pairing mode) go ahead and power on your SkullCandy headphones and make the connection again.
