“Does the device have to be manually powered on before use? I ask b/c my aux input is in glove box, am hoping not to have to open glove box to power on. There is power nearby the aux input jack, so I plan to leave plugged into charger at all times. Thx.”

This device can be manually powered on or off, but once it is turned on it stays on, and will automatically come on when power is restored to it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can leave it on, but the battery doesn't last very long. I can't remember what the battery life says it is.
