Will this work with a MacBook Pro? null

I'm having issues connecting it to my 2020 MBP. The OS isn't detecting it. Could be due to the USB-A to USB-C adapter (Startech) that I'm using. The OS did detect it at one point but it isn't working anymore. My 2016 MBP will detect it every time.
