This may be a function of the software you're using. Often, video software is set to work like a mirror instead of showing you exactly what the camera sees. Because most people have lived with working with a mirror their whole lives, this setting is often helpful for people, but can confuse things. In the Windows 10 Camera app, I see things normally, but in Skype, I see the "mirror" effect. You should also be able to google "turn off mirror in zoom" for example, or something that matches the particular software you're using.
