“Is this considered a ventless microwave or does it have to be vented to the outside”

• Out of the box it is setup as ventless, but can changed to vented. Either out the back or out the top.

• This microwave has a vent. The installers unscrew the back side of the microwave and reposition it and attach it to the hood of the outside vent.

• It is a convertible vent system. It can be used for venting outside or for recirculating the air inside. I bought it as a gift I will be installing this weekend, but it is the same as the Maytag I had bought for myself. Hope this helps

• Yes ventless. It comes setup for recirculation inside. It can be adjusted to vent outside if you want to.
