My understanding is that all washers now come with sensors and only fill water to the level of your clothes. There is an option for deep water wash and rinse. That allows for a higher level of water.

When loading the tub, make sure that the middle of the agitator can be seen around the clothing. Do not pack above the top row of holes as well. We would also recommend stacking it up so it is around the sides and the agitator plate is visible with all of the clothing around it. Do not load the washer tub past the 2nd to the last row of holes in the basket to help avoid overloading. The bulky cycle will allow more water to enter the tub, but will not spin on the highest spin setting.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The washer conserves water by filling up to the amount needed through a sensor. If you want more water set it to deep water wash and that will change the amount of water you will get.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is an auto fill setting on the washer. The drum is quite deep and may be misleading. Your wash load will determine the water level. Is your wash sufficiently "soaked"? Then there is enough water. I like the idea of the washer determining water level especially with cost of water! That's the best I can figure out.
