• A:Answer Hi! Thank you for your question. This air conditioner has an internal tank to hold accumulated water from the condenser. Normally, this water is evaporated and exhausted to the outside. However, in periods of high humidity, the internal tank may become full. If this happens, “FL” will appear on the display, a tone will sound, and the air conditioner will turn off until the internal tank is emptied. Hope this helps! :) -Customer Service Team

• A:Answer Hi there, Thank you for your question. To answer that, yes. Normally, this water is evaporated and exhausted to the outside. However, in periods of high humidity, the internal tank may become full. • A:Answer While some water vapor is vented out with the exhaust. Condensation formed while using the dehumidifying mode is accumulated in the internal tank & can be manually drained from the bottom of the unit.

• A:Answer For the cooling mode to function efficiently in a space, the warm exhaust air needs to be vented out a window or into a larger space. Please note venting into another room in not advised as it will increase temperatures of this other space.

Q: QuestionWe are considering the Amana portable air conditioner, model AMAP101AB-2. The specs say the venting kit will fit a window 24 to 36 inches but our window is 23 inches. Can the window kit be sized down?
