• The drawer on the bottom is a broiler drawer. You can use one of the oven racks in it. Whatever you do, do not use it for storage as it heats up when the oven is used. Happy Cooking!

• That’s the broiler as it is on most gas ovens. I am surprised at how shallow the space there is there. You use one of the oven shelves to put your broiler pan on. It took twice as long to cook a chicken breast (45 mins. )As it did in my 20 year old oven and if the chicken had been any thicker it would not have fit in there at all. I really don’t understand design of this broiler but the chicken came out well
