“I have a Yamaha surround sound system. I put an HDMI cable in the arc spot on the TV and the other was in a HDMI IN port on the back of my Yamaha, but no sound. Am I missing something?”

Hello Scooter! I am sorry you are having trouble getting sound out of your surround sound system from your Fire TV. My suggestions are as follows: First, make sure that the HDMI cable you are using is ARC compatible otherwise the audio will not return properly if it is not. Second, you can use the optical port with an optical cable if your surround sound receiver has an available optical In port.
