I have used my iPhone to create a hotspot and it works pretty good. Newer vehicles can come with with a sevice that can provide WiFi thru the vehicle at a subscription charge. For better performance, close apps that use your network when you are done with them so they don't compete for bandwidth.

This does not have a cellular connection built in. You may be able to utilize a smart phone as a hotspot but definitely check with your wireless provider about the terms and conditions for that. Have a great day!
