A:AnswerHello,
It should just ask for your Amazon Account info, meaning your email and password, and if you do not have an Amazon account, you can sign up for one for free first and then enter that information.
A:AnswerHello, cwpete! The Fire HD10 tablet is compatible with most headphones that plug in and most Bluetooth headphones. You will set them up through settings on the tablet. Have a great day!
A:AnswerHello, Camdy!! There are a ton of great accessibility features on the Fire HD10 Tablets! Here are some great features: VoiceView, powered by IVONA Text-to-Speech, Explore by Touch, Adjustable Reading Speed, VoiceView Tutorial, and the Fire tablet also works with popular Bluetooth refreshable braille displays. A:AnswerYou can access your books that you have purchased from any of your Amazon devices. They are all stored in the cloud and all you have to do is sign into your Amazon account on whichever device you want to use. After you sign in on your new HD 10 you can click on Books and you should see your books that you had on your Kindle.
A:AnswerHello Patricia,
Thank you for you question! So ADT devices and services can be used your Fire HD 10, but not through an app. There is an Alexa skill that you can enable that will allow your voice to control your ADT devices. An Alexa skill is like an app, but must be enabled through your Alexa app.
Here is how to do it:
Find the Alexa app and search the skills and games section for ADT then click on
enable button
- Log into your ADT account on the Fire tablet. You will need to use your ADT username and password, NOT the Amazon password.
- Establish a four digit PIN.
If you can do that, you will link your ADT Pulse account to the Alexa device. For reference, here are the commands you must use, and say them EXACTLY as they are typed below – please note the “xxxx” represents the four digit PIN you will establish:
"Alexa, ask ADT to arm the system."
"Alexa, ask ADT to arm the system stay."
"Alexa, ask ADT to arm the system away."
"Alexa, ask ADT to disarm the system with xxxx."
"Alexa, ask ADT to check the status of the security system."
"Alexa, ask ADT to lock the Front Door Lock."
"Alexa, ask ADT to unlock the Front Door Lock with xxxx."
"Alexa, ask ADT to turn off the Light."
"Alexa, ask ADT to turn on the Light."
"Alexa, ask ADT to close the Garage Door."
"Alexa, ask ADT to open the Garage Door with xxxx."
For commands that require a PIN, your Amazon Alexa device will understand if you say: "Alexa, ask ADT to open the Garage Door with PIN 8674" OR "Alexa, ask ADT to open the Garage Door with 8674," assuming 8674 is the PIN you established upon setup for the ADT skill.
I hope this helps!
A:AnswerHey Jump drive,
Thank you for your question! Officially Amazon doesn't support Jump drives/Flash drives in the latest generation of tablets. It does however support transfer from your Personal computer to the Tablet and an SD card up to 512GB. I hope this helps!
A:AnswerHi Boymom,
The Fire HD Tablets do not have cellular capabilities built into them. You can however utilize your mobile phone hotspot if available. Just check through your cellular provider for terms and conditions. These tablets are great for virtual learning! Have a great day!
A:AnswerHi Sam,
Yes, you'll be able to read and use your Fire HD tablet in the dark with the LCD screen. There's an option you can enable to filter the blue light, swipe down from the top and select the Blue Shade icon to enable. I hope this helps!
