Yes, it is very easy to set up. Instructions are included on walking you through adding your Echo to your wifi. You do need to download the app.

It located my wifi automatically, you need to use Alexa app to set it up. It's a breeze in a few minutes I was ordering things, listening to music and playing jeopardy!

So simple , download the app, and follow the directions...thats it !
