best bet is buy more then one dot and keep them in places where you need them. buying more than one dot is still cheaper then buy the larger echo
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on how loud you like your music. I have both the dot and Echo. Both sound great and I can hear the Echo easily throughput my house which is 4000 Sq ft.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The dot is better for basically anyone. The standard echo doesn't have the ability to connect into your speakers but the Dot does.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Get the google one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Either will work fine ...the big difference is only the dot has output to hook to speakers...more expensive echo is very good...love these products
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All of the Alexa enabled devices are all just slightly different. The Amazon Echo is the most expensive but has a voice control (so you just talk to it) and a better speaker for music. The Amazon Dot does the same things that the Echo does, but the speaker is more like your cell phone speaker (perfect as an alarm clock though because of its tiny size) imagine "Alexa set an alarm for 6:30am" and while laying in bed "Alexa what is the weather today" (or traffic). The Amazon Tap has a medium quality speaker, is made to charge and take with you, but to talk to it you "tap" the top of it instead of just speaking. Also, you need internet service to use the features so wherever you go with it would need WiFi . Each of them (obviously the Tap) you would want to be in the room with it to talk to it (kind of like talking to a person, unless you like screaming! Lol)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Go with the Echo Dot and a pair of powered speakers. I have an open floor plan, ~5000 cubic feet, I added that exact setup and couldn't be happier. You won't be disappointed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.7 bedroom? I have both the echo dot and the google iHome and I think the iHome has better range. I can pick up my commands from across the huge living room when I'm talking below a normal volume. If you're trying to use it across rooms not sure if it will work that great, I would say make sure to limit background noise. The less background noise the better chance it has of hearing your commands.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've been with the Echo since Gen1. The Echo Dot is a good cheap Amazon Echo it has all the same ability's as the full size Amazon Echo. The difference is the Full Size unit is about $170 and has a better built in speaker. The full size Amazon Echo also does not have a 3.5mm jack. The Echo Dot has a much smaller speaker and is designed to plug into any other speaker or home entertainment center. Volume wise it is quieter than the full size unit but can be easily connected to Bluetooth speakers or wired speakers via 3.5mm jack on the back. getting the Voice remote with either of them is recommended if your really far from the device when you need to ask it something. Comes down to what you would like to spend and whether or not you intend to connect it too additional speakers. I myself have a full size Amazon Echo in the middle of our Kitchen\Family room\Dining room and a Echo Dot in the bedroom. Both are great devices. Hope this helps
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Any one will do great it depends on what you are looking for. If you need a speaker then I will say go with the Echo, if you don't need the speaker to be loud then go with the Dot.
