Connect to it via Bluetooth, and yes. It will play all of the sounds that your phone normally does.

You should be able to. The 3rd-Gen Echo Dot (much like other Echo devices) can be paired with any Bluetooth-compatible device to act as a Bluetooth speaker.

I would not use the dot to play music. The speaker is not high quality. You would be better off getting a sound bar( most have Bluetooth) or a Bluetooth speaker if you want to play music.
