Following that, these steps may help you: Make sure the TV isn't muted. Press the Volume Up button on the Fire TV remote to increase volume. Check to see if your TV speaker is turned off. Go to Settings and select Display & Sound. If you've already connected an external speaker (the echo dot), make sure it's selected as your preferred output: Go to Settings. Select Display & Sound. Select your external speaker or Fire TV speakers under Audio Output. If those steps do not resolve your issue, you can also try checking your device for software updates by doing the following: Go to "Settings" > My Fire TV > About > Check for Updates". If you wish to connect the Echo Dot, you will create a home theater experience in your space and enhance the sound of to your Omni TV! You can pair the two with the following steps: Open the Alexa app Open Devices Select Plus and scroll to the bottom of the screen Select Combine speakers Select Home Theater Select your compatible Fire TV device Select up to two compatible Echo devices to use as speakers, along with an optional Echo Sub Select left and right speakers when using two Echo device Name your home theater and assign it to a room in your house. Devices in your speaker group should be in the same room as your television. Follow the directions on your TV to finish set up. Hope that helps you!
