Yes if its a smart bulb or the lamp is connected to a smart plug. I have two lamps connected to smart plugs and a smart bulb, you just have to add the "devices" to your account and name them "Red light" and then just ask alexa to turn off or on. you can even set a routine where it turns on red light at a certain time always or turns off

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can if you have outlets that are alexa / google home compatible. Also there is a website you can create custom task called ifttt.com (if this them that) Though Google home, and alexa both have a lot of already built in stuff in their own apps.

You do need to have the Alexa app on a device, and authorize the Alexa app to link to whatever app runs your device. For example, I have Wifi smart plugs (some Meross and Jinvoo), that I use for holiday light timers. I connected to Alexa (was easy, about a minute to do if your Wifi plugs are already setup), and now can say "Alexa, turn on Christmas tree lights", and voila. I have 4 different plugs, and have them all setup, with different names. I think you can also give a group of plugs a name and have them all turn on at once, but I haven't had need to do yet. This also came with a free bulb, that I think can be controlled from Alexa app directly, but I haven't tried yet.
