• Hello, Margarita! The Echo Dot does need to be plugged into a wall outlet in order to work. There are some adapters certain companies make that you can purchase to essentially work as a battery for the Echo Dot. This would enable you to use the Echo Dot without having to have it plugged into a wall outlet. I hope that helps answer your question. Have a great day!
