• A:Answer It can be done but be careful. For example. My dog is trained and does not ever have a problem. She got sick one day and we were not home, Roomba ran over some dog doo and spread it along the carpet and also thru the interior of Roomba. Roomba will never run again. We had to go and buy a brand new one. Now we only run Roomba when we are home

• A:Answer I purchased four additional bulbs for additional convenience and security around the home. The sales rep at Best Buy said a bridge would not be necessary, and he was correct! The bulbs work fine, you just need to add them to your Alexa app on your phone! Not sure if a bridge is needed with other accessories! Bulbs work fine with both our original Alexa Plus Gen2 and the Echo Dot Gen3.

• A:Answer The smart plugs will work anywhere that they can connect to the recipient's home Wi-Fi router, they do not need to be anywhere near the Echo Dot to work. The Echo Dot should be place in whichever room the person will most likely want to use it, or at a mid-point between multiple rooms if they want to give commands from additional rooms. The Echo Dot will usually pick up commands within 20-30 feet (2 rooms width) depending on the layout of the home. I live in an apartment and have the Echo Dot in the living room and it can hear me from the bedroom, approximately 22 feet and one doorway. Note, the Echo Dot also needs to be able to connect to the home Wi-Fi router to be able to communicate with the smart plugs. The Wi-Fi router is most likely the "Internet box" provided by their Internet service provider.
