A:AnswerI assume by wireless, you mean portable. The unit requires to be plugged in, but you can buy a 3rd party rechargeable battery as an add on. I didn't see it on Best Buy, so I bought Echo at Best Buy, and the battery from a different online seller. With the battery, as long as you are within your Wifi range, it works perfectly. They really should make an upgraded version with this standard. I saw there is one being test marketed in India, but not sure when this will make it here.
A:AnswerWe ours located in our retail store and the volume is adequate. We don't play music files saved on the computer, but we do play several different channels from the internet. No membership that I know of needed. Setup was easy. Just be sure to read the instructions.
A:AnswerAs long as you have WiFi range, yes you can set it up anywhere and it will work. It also has to be plugged in while in use. I would just be careful with weather damage on the device if it will be left outside.
A:AnswerHi,
The instructions say you can. I haven’t tried it but so far this has been a fun device with decent sound. My toddler granddaughters have been able to get it to play whatever they want. I bought 2 and I can have it announce on the other one whatever I want. It records me and repeats it on the other end. I’m guessing that when you ask it to respond a certain way it will probably record your voice.
Sorry hope you find a clearer response
A:AnswerYou can pair a different remote with your fire stick, including a phone app. There are companies that make compatible remotes, but better is a matter of opinion generally. Not sure the specific model you are asking about.
A:AnswerAnyone who says her name in the house, will get her attention, and she'll reply, but if she's on your account will sometimes reply using your name. I found that Amazon defaulted to some purchases I didn't like. For example, when I ask for music that was not free, ony account, I missed that she was asking if I wanted to sign up for a prime account. Anyway, it wasn't exactly obvious to me until I saw a bill for prime. That's really my only caution about the device, but I don't have kids or roommates, so I really don't worry about it. If you do, you might have to check into that. My wife and I both have accounts and you can tell her to switch between accounts. My wife has the prime account. If I want to listen to music available on prime, I switch to her account. Normally, she'll do things like blink green for a notification, that comes automatically when a package from Amazon, which I ordered, is delivered. Alexa will tell you exactly that what it was that was delivered and where on the notification. I have to say with nearly five of them in our house, two on ecobee thermostats, I find them very useful and reasonably easy to use. Sharing accounts takes some thinking though.
