- Answer Hello, Axtell73! Currently, you cannot access PDF files on the Echo Show. You can ask Alexa for recipes and she can pull them up on the screen for you, though. Have a great day!

QuestionHow many people can be on a call at once (living in different households)

- Answer I have only been able to call one device at a time from this echo show 2nd Gen 10.1. However we have had crowds on both ends (prior to the Covid-19), so that upped it’s game. These units become not accessible to others when they’re in a call. I have not used Skype on my units. Skype has the ability to do multiple video screens at once. That would be a starting point to try, to see if you can get multiple video chats at once.

- Answer Yes you can control the volume by saying Alexa.. Turn volume down or Alexa decrease volume or Alexa max volume... Etc

- Answer Hello, You could call from another echo show device, or you could download the Alexa app on your phone and call from Alexa app (video or voice call) to the Echo device to do a video call. Hope that helps.

- Answer Go get the third generation ASAP!! I have Amazon prime and it well worth it!!!!! I had the second generation but it’s apples to oranges to the third generation!!! You need to make this purchase to see all that it does because I’m telling you right now they thought of everything and it’s well worth the price !!! The rotating base follows you around the room!!! Such an awesome feature if you are video chatting because you do not have to stay in front of the screen, it follows YOU instead. It’s also a cool feature if you ask Alexa to show you a recipe and you are cooking and needing to read the next step. Another example, I asked Alexa to play music by a certain artist (see pic). Not only did it provide the lyrics, but it offers 50 genres under “you may also like” and I’m like OMG WHAT A COOL FEATURE!! You can also add your favorite app accounts! This is a 10” screen and keeps my grand babies quiet for HOURS while I’m working from home!

- Answer Hello, Its more about the direction of the speakers. The older version of the Echo show was meant to face a wall and the direction of the speakers the sound would bounce off that surface and back at you, where as the new one is multi directional.
