“Can the Alexa be turned off, don't want that on, don't want them listening”

• You can always unplug it. There is a button to close the camera lens. Alexa is programmed to "wake" using special command...either "Echo", "Alexa", or other preset names.

• Hi GH, You can mute the Alexa, there is a mute option on the top of the device, its the circle with the line through it. Although to use the Alexa to its full capabilities, you will need to un-mute by pressing the button again in order to ask her a command. Hope this information helps. Have a great day.
