Hi Cookie, It's not quite that ready to use. When you plug it in you'll have to go through a setup process but it's not difficult, especially if you have a smartphone. You'll need to give it access to your wifi, and you'll need to link the device to your Amazon and Alexa app accounts, which are both free. If you have Amazon Prime that'll make the experience even that much better, but only the basic free Amazon account is needed. It does come with a limited number of video and music services that you can start using right away once you're done with the setup involving the Amazon and Alexa app accounts. The touchscreen menus are straightforward and if you're used to Alexa you should have no problem getting the most out of it with voice commands. It's a pretty cool device. Bill
