• You must use the app to setup Alexa. Once setup tell Alexa to connect to my phone.

• Hello and thank you for your inquiry regarding using the Echo Studio as a speaker for your iPhone without using the Alex app. The Studio, like other devices in our Echo (non-screened) lineup, needs to have an initial setup as well as settings that you would need to access through the Alexa app or your Amazon account on a web browser in order to be used as a Bluetooth speaker for your iPhone.
