It allows both but the instructions for doing this are confusing. You gave to first connect your Fire to your PC and check to see that your PC recognizes it. Then you click "Settings" on your Fire and then click of "Connected devices." Then tap on "USB" ans tap on "transfer files." I use my Amazon Fire 7 with a 64 GB micro SD card to put YouTube movies and recorded lectures of Yale's free online courses on my Amazon Fire 7 for free distribution to the incarcerated. Unfortunately, most facilities will not permit inmates to use any device with either WiFi capability or a camera. Do you know of any device similar to the Amazon Fire 7 (or 10) that does not have these capabilities? If so, could you please let me know. Paul O'Donaghue [email protected]
